Weddings...

Over this summer I have had the opportunity to make some beautiful cakes!
Here are a few...

This cake has a rustic buttercream with raffia tied at the base of each tier.
The bride's family actually cut down a tree from their ranch and stained it for the wedding cake base!
I thought that was a really neat and sentimental thing to do.
Speaking of sentimental, the topper is made of the bride's sister's bouquet from her wedding--they dried the roses and created this piece of art!

This cake also has a rustic buttercream and is decorated with flowers used in the wedding.
The toppers (and first bite for the bride and groom) are bride and groom cake balls!
This cake was on a big hunk of tree, too! Loving this new trend.

This is the groom's cake for the first wedding cake.
It is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and dark chocolate ganache, along with chocolate covered strawberries... Oh yeah! And a tooth, of course!
The groom is a dentist, so they wanted to do something special for him!

The Fault in Our Stars...

This cake was for a young girl's birthday.
She loves the book The Fault in Our Stars, so her mom wanted to do something special for her.
Such a cute idea!

Graduations...

And here we have a few graduation cakes that I did this past school year.

This one is for a boy that graduated Rockwall-Heath High School and will be attending Texas Tech!
I cut the logos out of sugar sheets and placed them on black fondant--it took me a while, but was totally worth it! I think it came out pretty nicely.

This cake was for a girl who graduated Grapevine High School and will be attending Boston University.
This was a neat idea--I love the creative things that people come with and ask me to create!

Baby shower...

This is a two-tiered pink polka-dot cake for a baby shower!
This one was a lot of fun to make!

Another 1st birthday...

And we have another really cute idea for a "smash cake"!
Not to mention the adorable mermaid cake for the guests to enjoy!

Happy first birthday...

Super cute idea for a "smash cake" for a 1st birthday.
A BIG cupcake with matching cake balls!
